Congratulations to Blaine Adams of the Adams Family Racing Team for winning at the Talladega Super Speedway in last night’s PRL NASCAR Truck Series featured on the Global SimRacing Channel. Driving the No. 33 Spirit Ride Toyota Tundra, Adams claims his first victory and Spirit Ride Therapeutic Riding Center is thrilled to be featured in victory lane as the AFR charity of choice. The race, sponsored by Diecast Kings, was dominated by AFR teammates, Brett Adams (No. 23) and brother Blaine. Teamwork played a definite role in the outcome of last night’s race. In an exciting Talladega finish, the Adams Brothers entered the pits with only five laps to go. After leading the race for 24 laps, Brett Adams spun out entering pit road, putting him in the final spot on the lead lap with a 12th place finish. In a gutsy strategic move, Blaine took just enough fuel to get to the finish line. That strategy almost worked against him with a green-white-checker finish and two cautions in the last three laps of the race. But Adams pulled it off, coasting across the start/finish line under a yellow flag with no fuel and a push from the No. 17 truck driven by Daniel Knight. Racing at Talladega never disappoints but we at Spirit Ride are already looking ahead to more excitement at next week’s race at the Monster Mile. Be sure to tune in on Wednesday, April 29th at 8:50 pm, as the Adams Family Racing Team plans to dominate Dover.
