Longtime Spirit Ride volunteer, Tristan Mick, has recently accepted the position of Equine Assistant at Spirit Ride Therapeutic Riding Center. This important role involves working with, listening to, and guiding horses into a healthy and happy lifestyle. By assisting the horses with exercise, proper training, and pre/post workout stretches, she is enabling them to reduce stress from the rigors of their job as therapists and playing an active role in their well being. Tristan, a senior at Watauga High School, is a member of the National Honor Society as well as an officer in the FFA. At only 18 years of age, her equine knowledge is inciteful and caring.
